Finishing options for flexible dies
Our flexible die finishings enable you to achieve maximum efficiency. The flexibility, tolerances and magnetic adhesion of dies are completely unaffected by all our coatings and hardening processes!
Non-stick coating
This is the optimum solution, if you have to grapple with ink and adhesive residues. Our non-stick coating minimises these residues on the cutting edges and die surface, which makes for a smooth production process.

MC coating
Our specially designed Micro Coating (MC) is perfect for cutting abrasive thermo materials, particularly for long-run jobs. The MC coating greatly reduces abrasion of the flexible die and significantly increases the useful life of tools.
Laser hardening
The cutting edge of the flexible die is heated using a laser beam and then cooled off. This produces a hardness of 66-68 HRC in the tool point, which minimises wear. Laser hardening is generally recommended for through-cutting, foil materials that are difficult to cut and for long-run jobs.
MC-plus coating
For particularly “extreme” cases, we recommend our “MC Plus” option. Specially designed for highly abrasive materials and very long runs, the MC Plus coating maximises the useful life of the flexible die.
